
Dr. Frank Bettencourt graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He completed a one year internship in Illinois and practiced for five years in Central Florida, prior to purchasing Churchill Veterinary Hospital in September of 2004. Dr. Bettencourt enjoys internal medicine and surgery with special interests in veterinary dentistry. He is married to Dr. Cristina Bettencourt. They enjoy life with a dog, a cat, and five beautiful daughters.
Dr. Cristina Bettencourt graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 2000. She spent her first five years of practice on the east coast of Florida. She enjoys soft tissue and minor orthopedic surgery and internal medicine. Her special interests include dentistry, reproductive medicine, and ophthalmology.
In her spare time, Dr. Bettencourt enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and their dog "George".

Born and raised in Washington State, Andrea earned her BA at Ripon College in Wisconsin (where she dual - majored in Psychobiology and Theatre). She worked with wildlife for the next few years, before settling down here at Churchill Veterinary Hospital with our beloved companion animals. She has mainly worked as a technician and as a receptionist since joining us in 1999. She has availed herself of several dental-related continuing education opportunities, among others. She currently is in charge of much of the inventory at our clinic. She shares a home with Demetrius, an orange and white tabby. Andrea's non-work interests include technical theatre (she enjoys designing and building sets), reading, volunteering at the local PBS station's fundraising events church- related activities, and a home based kitchen product business.

Janet Schnur, Administrative Assistant
Originally from Columbus, Indiana, via Savannah, Georgia, she came to join us in 2006 where she currently works as an administrative assistant and helps with the reception desk. She has three adult children and 6 grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys interior decoration, gardening, reading and craftwork. She shares her home with a "senior" cat named Ethel, her young adult Husky named Dakota, and her puppy "teenager", a cocker spaniel named Tennison.
Krista was born and raised in San Antonio. She developed a passion for horses when her parents aquired a ranch near Boerne, which now functions as a Christian retreat center. She developed a love for dogs and cats after working as a kennel technician at a veterinary hospital. Krista has been with Churchill Veterinary Hospital, working as a receptionist, since 2009. In her spare time, Krista enjoys riding her horse, spending time with her family, and taking long walks with her dog Kayla.

Nathan began working at Churchill Veterinary Hospital in June 2009. He began his career in the veterinary field at age fourteen, volunteering through the Explorer Program. In May, 2007, he completed the Palo Alto Veterinary Technology Program to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. Nathan has strong interests in veterinary dentistry and oncology and has plans to pursue his Veterinary Technician Specialty in dentistry. He is currently studying to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys spending time at the beach and with his numerous pets.

Helena is a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She has been working in the veterinary field for fourteen years. Prior to joining Churchill Veterinary Hospital, Helena had the privilege of working with the military working dogs at Lackland Air Force Base. While at Lackland, she was given the "expert dog handler" award. She also worked with the Military Malinois Puppy Program where she assisted with whelping and helped train the puppies in detection and patrol. When not working, Helena enjoys spending time with her two cats and Belgian Malinois.
